Filly & Mare Sprint Preview

This race was expected as among the more competitive runnings of this distinctive seven-furlong contest for fillies and mares. However, vet checks led to multiple withdrawals this morning, such as top contenders Sweet Azteca as well as Tamara.

As a result, the lineup now appears significantly reduced, though conditioner Bob Baffert has a major opportunity to secure a twentieth Breeders’ Cup victory. His runners feature Richi and Splendora, whereas Hope Road, victor in the Grade One Ballerina Stakes, is considered the main challenger.
